LISA BIANCO
NYC's Lisa Bianco strives to create a real and musically pure rock experience that goes beyond just playing the songs. Her crunchy Alt-folk rock evokes influences from KT Tunstall, Radiohead and Blondie combined with a striking vocal persona in the vein of Pat Benetar and Lucinda Williams. An energy and rawness all its own.
Lisa has cultivated a strong and growing fan base playing the NYC club circuit at venues such as the Knitting Factory, CBGB, Arlene Grocery, the Bitter End and the Hard Rock Cafe' New York. Highlights include several appearances at NYC's Anti-Folk Festivals and a 2 month tour of select Long Island Borders Books stores. She also was selected to perform at a USA Songwriting Competition New York showcase and at NJ Songwriters in the Round at Maxwell's in New Jersey. In August 2007, Lisa completed a 10 date tour of the east coast and Canada. Lisa's festival performances in 2008 included The Wave Gathering Festival in Asbury Park, NJ and at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC
Currently recording her first solo album titled "Post Data", Lisa Bianco's music has come a long way. Exhibiting dynamic chord and time changes, her introspective lyrics and deep imagery bring to mind a young Patti Smith. Lisa's well crafted pop songs are instilled with a fiery punk rock aggression and her powerful natural singing voice creates a clear division between her and your typical female solo artist. Her guitar playing matches her singing, a style that has its own language.
