I just posted up 2 new songs from my upcoming full length album "Post Data". The 2 songs are "Sideways" and "Post Data / We Communicate". I did a video blog of the initial 13 days of recording my new record. A snap shot of a day in the life of creating a body of work. I really love the idea of a record. A whole cohesive unit of songs speaking one possible thing. A sort of "greater than the sum of its parts" idea.

All the 13 days of recording blogs are archived on YOU TUBE.

Heading back into the studio in May for a few days. Yeah!

I can't wait to get this record out! A few have heard the rough tracks. They compared the songs to a combination of elements of certain bands: REM, The Bangles, Blondie, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Radiohead, Roxy Music, Lucinda Williams and Yellowcard. hmmm...

Hey everyone! I start recording my new album on Monday March 31st. I decided that I am going to document each day with a snippet of video. "13 Days of Recording". Yes, I am doing the video blog. Each day will "time capsule" something about the recording process...Maybe some tracks, meal of the day, or crying because I banged and chipped my guitar AGAIN! LOL.

I hope you all check it out. I already have a blog up introducing the musicians and producer I will be working with. I am very excited about the project and to be working with some really great people! I am not sure if I will finish the album in 13 days but it is just to start and see what we got.

Next week I'll be recording my new album (March 31st to April 12th). I'll be working with producer Bryan Russell (Straylight Run, Envy on the Coast) in Brooklyn. I am very excited! It's going to be a full length album. Full production. Full band. Very intense! Hopefully, it will be released by the end of the year.

No sleep till Brooklyn! February 15th will a band show in the Burg. Trashy! Thank you to everyone at the last show at the Sidewalk Cafe. It's been real nice to return there for a gig. Been a long time...shared some stories about writing "Sun Glare" down in the "basement" and the infamous Folk You pin! LOL. Until next time.

Next band show and last show of the year will be Saturday Dec 8th. A few solo shows to follow the next year. I'm going to start pre-production for my next disc. Maybe 7-8 songs. I'm excited about getting back into the studio! I have accepted that fact it is going to take much longer than I think...which will save me alot of mental anguish! Whoa...deep breath.

Halloween show! A little bit early. Bring your best costume to the Village Pub South show in Long Island (next weeks show October 19th). It's a contest and of course best dressed gets the prize! It's optional. You can still come and be your wonderful self! I'm gonna be a cheer leader. But not the usual kind. You'll just have to see!

East Coast and Canadian tour launches this Thursday at the Knitting Factory at 8 PM. Thursday's show will be with a backing band. The rest of the tour will be solo. You can check all the dates and details in the [Shows] section. Most up to date details and any changes will be made on Myspace while the tour is rollin'. Am I ready for the rock n' roll circus to begin? Of course!!

Yes! I'm debuting a new band line-up at the Knitting Factory in August. Featuring Anne Husick on bass and Dawn McGrath on drums. Two super talented musicians that I am looking forward to playing with and making lots-o-noise!

Starting off this friday at the Long Island Music Festival. I'll be filling in last minute
for my friends in the band Stereo Stereo. I may not be listed on the event roster
but I WILL be playing at 10PM for sure!

Finito...Red Jacket was put to rest in late 2006. New changes. New seasons. New music to come. I want to thank all of you for your support in the past and rocking out at the shows!

You know the name Red Jacket was the name of my dorm room in college at SUNY Buffalo? I came up with that name my sophomore year. A tough, emotional and growing year for me. I flipped. That was the year I decided to change my outlook and feelings about life...to a more positive way.

Red Jacket as a band was a means to transmit that. Maybe now I'm onto another chapter and the band Red Jacket helped me to get to another level which I've yet to find out. I'll have my first solo show coming up at the end of March and a few more to confirm. I'll be just performing using my name Lisa Bianco.
